Award winning fashion photographer Markus Klinko has tried the recently announced Godox EC-200 extension heads as a quad-flash for beauty and close-up lighting.
Over at DPReview you’ll find an interesting article about the recently announced extension head for the Godox AD200 / Flashpoint Evolv pocket strobe.
Klinko says the EC-200 extension heads work perfectly when extreme an close-up shot comes into play. When using them as macro-lights around the camera lens, we’ll receive a balanced an even lighting, while keeping the weight of the rig relatively low. It’s advantage over traditional ring lights is ‘allowing individual control of each head in turn, which permits the photographer to limit the output of the flash hitting the model’s face from underneath’. This is not possible with a ring light.
